Grace Pettis is a Nashville-based songwriter whose music blends folk, Americana, country, and soul with lyrical precision and emotional depth. A highly decorated writer, Pettis has earned national recognition through major songwriting contests, grants, and residencies, including NPR’s Mountain Stage NewSong Contest, The Buddy Holly Educational Foundation, and The Helene Wurlitzer Foundation.
Her songs have been recorded by artists such as Sara Hickman and Ruthie Foster, including three co-writes on Foster’s Grammy-nominated album Healing Time (2024). Pettis has showcased at SXSW and Folk Alliance International and has independently released multiple acclaimed records before signing with MPress Records.
