I am a 19 year old college student studying vocal performance at Auburn University. I am originally from Gulf Shores, Alabama, where the rest of my family currently resides. I am a part of Dr. William and Rosephanye Powell’s Women’s Choir and Gospel Choir through the university. These choirs have been a huge highlight of my college experience and have exposed me to absolutely wonderful music. Since I was very young I have been singing, writing, and playing guitar. I have a deep love for all spiritual music and credit much of my inspiration to it. I love jazz, rhythm & blues – and all things Elvis. Last year, I had the pleasure of playing at the Student Showcase during the festival. Since then, I have continued to sing around town. Most nights I can be found singing at open mics throughout Auburn and Opelika. I also play with a small band – we are hoping to begin gigging soon. Some of my original work can be found on Youtube under the channel name Emi Ruth. I enjoy producing music on my computer and creating music videos. As of right now, my focus is on my studies but I will continue to create and share.
